Search for threads that connect this interest to others <\/i>(e.g. the children also like banging on the garbage can lid to make sounds).<i><\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Choose an interest to build upon\u00a0<\/i>(e.g. sound).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b style=\"line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.3rem;\">2.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b style=\"line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.3rem;\">RESPOND<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.3rem;\">How can we build upon the children\u2019s interest? \u00a0Consider:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Provocations \u2013 How will we inspire further exploration and investigation? \u00a0<\/i>F<span style=\"font-size: 1.3rem; line-height: 1.6;\">ill sensory table with objects that make different sounds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><i>Questions \u2013 Which questions will we ask the children to further the interest? \u00a0<\/i>What do the blocks sound like when they fall?<\/li>\n<li><i>Environment \u2013 Which physical changes can we make in the classroom? \u00a0<\/i>Expand the size of the block area.<\/li>\n<li><i>Documentation \u2013 What will we document and how? \u00a0<\/i>Record the conversations of children as they build.<\/li>\n<li><i>Families \u2013 How can we involve the children\u2019s families? \u00a0<\/i>Ask if any parents would like to create blocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.3rem;\">Prioritize and place these possibilities on a weekly schedule.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>REVISIT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.3rem;\">What happened?\u00a0 What did not happen?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.3rem;\">What will we follow up upon?\u00a0 What requires further reflection?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.\u00a0REFLECT What are the children exploring in the classroom? \u00a0Make a list and be specific about who is doing what.
